Kim Ramona Burnett was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She attended the College of New Rochelle. It was there that she encountered the gospel of Jesus Christ through her good friend, until this day, Sister Collette Dobbins.

As a result of wanting to know more about the Lord, Sister Collette invited Kim to the Tabernacle of Prayer for all People under the then leadership of the founder, Apostle Johnnie Washington, and on Sunday, January 2 nd , 1983, Sister Kim gave her life to Jesus Christ.

Shortly thereafter, in 1984, Sister Kim received the gift of the Holy Ghost at a Saturday afternoon communion service at the Tabernacle of Prayer. Sister Kim was employed for many years as a Dental Assistant to the Office Manager of a Dental Office. After a period, her spirit of hospitality and love for youth and young adults caused her to work for the Department of Education as a paraprofessional at the York Early College Academy of Queens.

Like her husband, her passion for the youth became evident as they worked alongside each other in ministry. As a result, she served in the following areas of ministry: Assistant Youth Director, Sunday School Teacher, Co-Teacher for Youth for Christ Class, Children’s Foundation Class Choir Supervisor, Junior Usher, Willing Workers, and Scholarship Committee. Solidifying her work in the ministry, Sister Kim was ordained as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ under the leadership of her late pastor, Bishop Ronny Davis.

Currently, Minister Kim continues to be an encouragement to youth and women in all walks of life. She is a panelist for the “Women Empowered by Grace” movement under the covering of Bishop Bani Brown, as well as a consistent speaker of the “Wake up in the Word” virtual ministry line that is based in Jamaica, West Indies. Her messages of hope and intercessory prayer are felt by many who have encountered her presence, leaving them uplifted and strengthened in their walk with Christ.

Sister Kim not only takes her role in the ministry seriously, but she is also a dedicated wife to her husband, Elder Carl Burnett, since 1987. To this union that still burns with love, she is the mother of three children: Jerome, Nina, and Timothy, and a grandmother of two: Summer Nicole and Alan Raymond Bonds III (AJ).

Minister Kim’s favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him and he will direct thy paths”. Her heart desires to please the Lord, love God’s people, and be an encouragement in any way she can.
